Coronavirus: Ribble Valley Jazz Festival 2020 cancelled

The 2020 Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Festival has been cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

The eleventh Jazz and Blues celebration was set to be staged from April 30th to May 3rd and had included trombonist Dennis Rollins as one of the headliners.

“With great reluctance, we have had to take the decision to call off this year’s event,” said festival coordinator Sue Bradley. “It is the only safe and sensible course of action in the light of

the country’s efforts to cope with coronavirus epidemic.”

She added: “Our overwhelming concern is the safety and well-being of all our audiences, volunteers and musicians.”

The Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Festival Planning Group would like to thank all the venues, musicians’ and community groups who have already pledged their support to make the

2021 festival a truly great event. The festival organisers will be contacting everyone who has purchased a ticket to any of the festival gigs to ensure refunds can be made, or alternatively, ticket purchases can be validated for rescheduled dates.
