Clitheroe Young Farmers annual Muck Haul sees record breaking donations for charity
Young farmers took to the streets and villages of the Ribble Valley over the Easter weekend for their annual Muck Haul event - raising a splendid £3,620 for Lancashire Mind.
Club chairman, Hazel Stansfield, thanked everyone who took part and those who donated.
She said: "Members had a fantastic day. They started off at Clitheroe Auction Mart with all members being Covid tested before heading off in small groups to deliver everyone muck which had been kindly donated by Thwaites Farm in Chaigley.
"Members had spent two nights prior to this bagging up over 1,300 bags, which were ordered. A special thank you must go to Dugdale Nutrition and Carter Fold Farm, who donated all the bags. Luckily, the weather was on our side and everyone had a lovely day delivering to all our customers."
She added: "A massive thank you to everyone who helped. A record breaking year for Clitheroe Young Farmers Club as we raised an incredible £3,620, which is all being donated to the fantastic charity, which is Lancashire Mind.
"Once again thank you and we will see you all next year!"
