Earlier this year, Isaak Mulhearn, a pupil of St Michael and St John's School, Clitheroe, set himself a goal to collect as many Easter eggs as possible so that children who are stuck in hospital over the Easter period can enjoy them.

Isaak, along with his parents Amy and Chris, contacted local supermarkets who were only too happy to help. His school, family and friends contributed towards this deserving cause too.

His delighted parents said: "We are really proud of Isaak. He is such a thoughtful and caring little boy and he always puts others first. Isaak came up with the idea one evening after reading an article about a boy down south collecting Easter eggs for a local hospital and immediately asked if he could try and do the same. He ended up collecting 128 Easter eggs which is brilliant. We are super proud parents."

Over the weekend Isaak and his parents arranged to travel to Royal Blackburn Hospital. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, they were not allowed onto the wards, but were met by a lovely nurse called Denise, who thanked Isaak for the donation and assured him the Easter eggs will be delivered to the children's wards.

Isaak would like to thank all the Clitheroe supermarkets, SPAR shops and Texaco garage for their help with the donations, plus his family and friends for their support.
