The event saw Santa touring the streets of Clitheroe and the surrounding areas in the weeks leading up to Christmas collecting cash for good causes.

This year, eight worthwhile local organisations have benefited due to the generosity of people who kindly donated. These are Crossroads Care Ribble Valley, Clitheroe Salvation Army, Derian House Children's Hospice, HARV - Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Domestic Violence Team, Nightsafe, Field Nurse, Home Start and North West Air Ambulance.

A spokesman for Ribblesdale Rotary thanked each and every person that supported the Santa Sleigh. Sue Hind said: "On behalf of all these local charities, Ribblesdale Rotarians would like to say a huge and hearty 'thank you' for coming out of your houses and putting money in our socially-distanced yellow buckets back in December. We would also like to acknowledge kind donations made by Dawsons, the Rose and Crown and Tesco in Clitheroe."
