Casualty treated for smoke inhalation after Burnley bedroom fire

One person had to be treated for the affects of smoke inhalation following a fire at the first floor bedroom of a house in Conway Grove.

Two fire engines from Burnley were called to the address at 6-30pm yesterday.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. One casualty was treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation."
