Caring doctor and his team receive award from East Lancashire trust for their invaluable work during Covid 19

A doctor, who has played a vital role in supporting staff and patients, has been named as the East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust latest Employee of the Month.

Dr Trevor Landry, principal clinical psychologist for pain management and rheumatology, was nominated, along with his team, for the work they have carried out so far during the coronavirus pandemic.

He was presented with his award by Kate Quinn who is operational director of human resources and organisational development. She said: "During the last few months, the pain management team has not been able to carry out the work it normally would, essentially putting their service on hold.

"Recognising this and the emotional impact the pandemic was having on our staff and patients, Dr Landry contacted the trust’s wellbeing service to offer the expertise of himself and the psychology team.
