Burnley woman leaves gift in will to hospice

Mrs Ellen Dixon, who died aged 92, received Hospice at Home care for a number of months, left a legacy donation to the hospice.

Indeed, her family were so grateful for the care she received that they also raised a further £556 for the hospice by selling possessions in her memory.

Sarah, Holdsworth, from Pendleside Hospice said: "We can’t thank the family enough for this donation.

"To pledge a gift to charity in your will is one of the most meaningful and precious gifts you can leave in your memory. It ensures that your legacy lives on, enabling you to continue supporting others in your absence.

"It’s a gift that we will value and treasure on your behalf, as will those who benefit from your kind generosity."
