Burnley woman denies inflicting grievous bodily harm on a baby

A 28-year-old woman appeared at Burnley Magistrates' Court accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on a baby.

Kelly Scrimshaw, of Aylesbury Walk in the town, denied the allegation and her case will be heard at Burnley Crown Court. The alleged offence took place last year in Burnley.

Prosecutor Miss Charlotte Crane told the hearing the infant was said to have suffered a shoulder fracture. Scrimshaw, who was represented by Mr Nick Cassidy, was unconditionally bailed until August 13 by District Judge John Maxwell.
