Burnley social club closes for deep clean after three customers test positive for COVID-19

Burnley Miners Social Club has shut for a deep clean after concerns over three customers testing positive for coronavirus.

In a Facebook post over the weekend, officials at the Plumbe Street venue informed all their customers of the closure.

It reads as follows: "I regret to announce that the club is now shut until further notice.

"Having been contacted regarding three cases of coronavirus reported from different customers that have entered the club. For everyone's safety we have decided to shut, the club will be undergoing a deep clean and I will update you all on any news as soon as I get it. Stay safe, Liam."

The club has since undergone a deep clean, but no date has been given as to when it will reopen.
