Burnley nail salon is 'best in Northwest'

Hard As Nails Beauty and Training, Padiham Road, received the honour at The English Nails Brows and Lashes Awards 2020.

The salon was also a finalist at The English Hair and Beauty Awards this weekend being one of many runners up, and Won the "Highly Commended Award" at the National Beauty Industry Awards late last year.

Owner Lesley Lawrence, who has won two international awards, including one at the "World Nails Master Championships" in Brazil, said she was delighted that all her hard work and dedication was finally being recognised.

She said: "I would like to thank my customers for their loyal continued support. They have helped us in our aim to bring high quality nail practices and techniques to Burnley and surrounding areas."

Since revamping her own skills Lesley educates for Brillbird UK from her salon.

She added: "I've discovered the nail industry is a world with so much to offer if you invest in decent high quality products and reputable Accredited Nail Training and Education programmes.

"There are unfortunately lots of bad practices being used in our industry by poorly trained techs that can put both clients and their own health at risk, such as cheap nasty products or electric files being used by untrained techs - so it is hugely important that students and techs learn the correct techniques with products and tools designed for intended use only."
