Burnley boy who has one in a million condition raising money for hospital

A little boy from Burnley who suffers from an extremely rare condition has been fund-raising with his classmates for the Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Holly Grove School pupil Lucas Wilton (8) suffers AHC (Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood), a condition which affects just one in a million children.

The complex condition that has life limiting effects for children causes paralysis and can be very painful for long periods of time.

Lucas and his classmates for Great Ormond Street Hospital in London which is currently studying the condition and trying to help treat the side effects, in the hope that one day those children that suffer with AHC will be pain free.

The pupils at Holly Grove School have been braving the weather and each class has completed a sponsored mile, either running, walking, cycling, swimming or bouncing to raise money for this good cause.
