Burnley born artist who captured Clarets boss on canvas uses amazing artistic skills to create unique portrait gift for dedicated nurse

Martin Krupinski captured on canvas a friend and colleague of his wife, Debbie, who works as a sister in the A and E department at the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
And the image of senior sister Elaine Holden was a unique gift to mark her retirement next year after 20 years in the profession.

Hide AdMartin said: "Elaine has worked with my wife since she joined the A and E department.
"She said she wanted a memory of herself in uniform so I did the portrait and went over to the hospital to surprise her with it.
"She was over the moon with it and was showing it to everyone on her shift."
Martin was inspired to return to his art while watching a TV show called Portait Artist which encourages people to pursue their talents.

Hide AdTuning in weekly, Martin (37) started to draw and re-discovered his talent and passion for the subject which he had never followed as a youngster, choosing to study engineering at Nelson and Colne College after leaving the fomer Mansfield High School in Brierfield.
Using a pencil and watercolour pens, known as Aqua markers, the dad of two, has developed his own 'graffiti' style drawings.
And the portrait he completed of Burnley FC boss Sean Dyche caused quite a stir.
Friends shared the image of the charismatic Clarets' boss across social media and Martin has since received several inquiries for commissions. And he has been overwhelmed by the response

Hide AdNow living in Colne, Martin grew up in the Harle Syke area of Burnley and attended Briercliffe Primary School. His other portraits are of a variety of celebrities, from David Bowie and Judge Rinder to historian Mary Beard and TV presenters Clare Balding and Noel Fielding.
