Laura Smithies, who runs the Brown Cow in Moor Lane, has been providing hot meals for vulnerable residents in Clitheroe since the start of the pandemic in March. She decided to make Christmas dinners for people who may be on their own over the the festive season, including service users at Ashcroft Homecare Ltd.

Carer Stephanie White then asked Clitheroe Tesco if it could help with donations and the store donated food to feed up to 30 people.

Selina said: "We wanted to celebrate the amazing community spirit of Laura and our staff for being so caring and for us to ensure that, even though some of our service users will be alone on Christmas Day, they will still be having care from us and they will at least get a Christmas dinner.

"I would like to wish all our service users a Merry Christmas and send out a huge thank you to our amazing team of carers for everything they do and to Clitheroe Tesco for their kindness."
