Pensioner rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Burnley

A 70-year-old pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Burnley.

Police, fire crews and the air ambulance were called to Coal Clough Lane, near to the junction of Harold Street, at around 5-40pm.

The man suffered lower leg injuries and was transferred to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
