Pennine Lancs 10k hits streets of Burnley

More than 2,500 runners, joggers and walkers have taken to the streets and parks of Burnley this morning in the second Pennine Lancashire 10k to be hosted by the town.

Set on their way by Mayor of Burnley Coun. Andy Tatchell, first to complete the gruelling course in the sweltering heat was Rosegrove’s Matthew Lalor, followed home by Worsthorne’s Christopher Holdsworth. Emma Yates from York was the first woman to finish.
