Pendle firm to bring 90 new jobs to area in 2011

The Lomeshaye-based firm has announced that colleagues from SpiriTel, the Wigan business it acquired in November, will move to Nelson and create one central location for core customer contact and the business’s support teams.
Daisy Group is an independent provider of unified business communications to small and medium enterprises and mid-market businesses.

The enlarged team at Nelson, incorporating SpiriTel employees, will further bolster the Daisy product offering, creating a centre of excellence for telephone systems.
Chief operating officer Gareth Kirkwood said: “The initial acquisition brought us a business that complemented the wider Daisy Group and we have the opportunity to centralise many of the common functions and departments at our Nelson site.
“Following last year’s acquisition, we carried out a full review of operations and were determined to tap into the expertise offered by the team, including a sales and customer support team and a highly skilled team of field technicians and engineers.
