There may well be a spot of argy-bargy at this year’s Pendle Beer Festival.

The popular three-day festival returns to The Muni on Thursday, February 4th, when it will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.

Now in its 12th year, the event pulls together a selection of breweries from Lancashire, Yorkshire and beyond with the specialist team from East Lancashire Campaign for Real Ale currently sourcing a wide choice of more than 100 fine cask ales, ciders and bottled beers.

Money raised during the weekend will go towards supporting Pendleside Hospice.

Last year’s festival raised more than £7,000 for hospice funds and barrel sponsorship is once again proving to be a very popular way for people and businesses to support.

As per previous festivals, barrel sponsors will receive two tickets to use on each day of the three day festival (subject to hall capacity), two pints of any the beers on offer (subject to availability) with their details on the beer barrel and on a “Roll of Honour” in the hall.

The cost of beer barrel sponsorship remains at £40.

As well as seeking out barrel sponsors, Pendleside Hospice will also be fund-raising at the festival and are looking for people to donate a voucher or a raffle prize.

If anybody is interested in sponsoring a beer barrel, donating a prize for the raffle or if they have any queries then they should contact Vikki in fund-raising at the hospice on 01282 440140 or email
