Ale flowed freely from 4-30pm as beer connoisseurs descended on the Albert Road venue in their droves on what is thought to be the busiest opening night in the festival’s history.

Pendle Council’s Chief Executive Stephen Barnes officially declared the festival open as the festival’s theme for 2015 ties in two 40th anniversaries; the borough of Pendle and the East Lancashire branch of CAMRA.
