Peckish lads raise £3.5k for Pendleside Hospice

Eight men have raised £3,500 for Pendleside Hospice by tackling the Spicy Chicken Drumstick Challenge at the Crooked Billet, sponsored by Clearly Interiors.

Eight men have raised £3,500 for Pendleside Hospice by tackling the Spicy Chicken Drumstick Challenge at the Crooked Billet, sponsored by Clearly Interiors.

As well as the Man vs Food undertaking, a raffle and an auction – including a signed Burnley shirt, a night in Hurstwood Hall and champagne – also took place.

The challenge was to eat 15 of the spicy drumsticks, made by Aldos Italian Restaurant in Burnley, as fast as possible, with victor Tom Jackson donating his £100 prize to the hospice. As well as Tom, Mark Webb, Pete Sweeney, Breton Holdsworth, Shaun Uttley, Bryan Wright and Phil Clegg (above) finished the challenge.
