World famous American socialite Paris Hilton is the inspiration for Boohoo.com’s latest line, the Burnley online clothing brand that is seeing its sales booming.
The television personality, once dubbed “New York’s It Girl”, has worked with the brand for its summer season, set to launch globally on June 20th.
The Paris Hilton range includes animal, metallic and palm prints inspired by Hilton’s home town of Beverly Hills, alongside “cheeky slogan pieces” that boast her famous mottos like ‘That’s Hot’.
Meanwhile, the company that has a growing global distribution centre at Heasandford Industrial Estate, has reported a strong start to the financial year by increasing first quarter revenues past £180m.
Joint chief executives Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane said: “Our infrastructure continues to see record levels of investment as we invest ahead of our growth curve and develop a distribution network capable of supporting £3bn of net sales globally.
“The distribution centre extension and automation project at Burnley remain on track to complete at the end of the financial year, with PrettyLittleThing’s move to its own warehouse expected to complete early in the second half of the financial year.”
For the three months to May 31st 2018, the business reported sales of £183.6m. compared to £120.1m. during the same period the year before.
The largest portion of this – £97.2m – was courtesy of Boohoo, with PrettyLittleThing bringing in £79.2m and Nasty Gal contributing £7.2m.
The statement added: “Our multi-brand strategy is delivering above-market rates of growth globally.
“We remain highly encouraged by our performance in the first quarter and confident of our expectations for the remainder of the year.
To celebrate the Paris Hilton partnership, Boohoo is set to host a “millennium inspired party” in Los Angeles, which follows an overall 90’s theme it kick-started earlier in the year.
