Five-year-old Jolie has become one of the country’s most talked about girls after appearing alongside a singing cat in Three Mobile’s latest ad.

The #SingItKitty video, which shows Jolie racing through a cul-de-sac on a pink bike belting out Starship’s 1980s’ anthem “We Built This City”, has racked up three million views on YouTube.

Mum Jodie said she could not believe the national exposure the advert had received. “We still can’t believe it,” said Jodie, who works at Vanilla hair salon, Padiham. “During the audition process we had no idea what the advert was for. Even on the way there for filming we didn’t know how big it was going to be. It’s just incredible.”

Little Jolie said she has watched the advert 200,000 times and, although that may be a slight exaggeration, Jodie said it had been a constant fixture on their TV screens.

“I’ve probably watched it about 50 times now,” she said. “Jolie isn’t phazed by any of it though. She’ll watch it but then wants to put on one of her films.

“We were given an itinerary which said it was going to be on just after noon last Friday after ‘This Morning’ but we found out it had been uploaded to YouTube earlier in the morning. We watched it together as a family. It was so exciting.”

Her husband, Adam, said: “We’ll be watching something on Sky Living and then we’ll look at the itinerary and say ‘shall we switch over to Sky Atlantic and watch it again’.

“She’s fantastic When she was down there she just got on with it. The crew loved her and it was a fantastic experience.”

Jolie was back at Padiham Green Primary School on Monday following half-term and Jodie wanted to thank staff there for the help they had given the family. “They have been absolutely fantastic with us and Jolie. There’s no way we would have been able to do this without their help,” she said.”

Headteacher Mr Mark Dixon even had the whole school singing “We Built This City” at Monday’s assembly. “I started saying the words and everybody joined in. We’re thrilled for her. She’s a lovely girl; a real character. It’s been really nice as well as all the other pupils have been going up to her and saying ‘well done’. We’re very proud of her.”
