Padiham family day for Pendleside Hospice

Organisers are hoping it will be third time lucky and a Pendleside Hospice Family Event day at Padiham Football Club will be the best ever.

The football and fun day will happen on May 22nd from 12-5-30pm and over the past two years it has just been a football match but this time there will be a bouncy castle and inflatable slide as well as face painting, cakes, treats, a raffle to win a £250 Dyson vacuum, auction and more.

Last year the event raised £1,626 and this year they are aiming for £2,000.

Special guest is ex-Burnley and Wales international Leighton James as well as mascot Burnley Bear provided by Get in2 (Burnley).

Organisers Daryl Graham and Lee Ashworth are raising funds for Pendleside Hospice, a cause close to their heart.

“Lee’s step-dad was admitted there several years back and while being there he received the best care he could and we feel we should give something back to them,” said Daryl. “Lee’s step-dad sadly passed away and doing this he feel’s he is doing him proud as well as those at the hospice.”

Entry Fee is £2 for adults, £1 for children and Under 10s are free. A family ticket of two adults and two children is £5
