Keen cyclists can test their skills on a £15,000 showpiece pump track that is set to open in Padiham.
The 100m long track will be created in Park Road, opposite the leisure centre, and will consist of a series of bumps and sharp bends on a tarmac surface that will test the skills of bikers and also scooter users.
Padiham Town Council this week agreed to put £2,800 towards the scheme which is being funded by Burnley Borough Council.
Describing the project as “splendid’’ Coun. Bob Clark said it would only serve to further enhance the Greenway. He said: “It has an all weather surface so it can be used all year round. We are providing a great facility with a lifespan of up to 15 years.’’
