Padiham care home is rated '˜good'

The care home, run by Lancashire County Council and which provides dementia care and support for up to 45 residents, was awarded the rating following a recent inspection.

Woodside was commended for the safety of the service, its effective and caring staff, being responsive to residents’ needs and good leadership by the home’s management.

County Councillor Tony Martin, cabinet member for adult and community services, said: “I’m pleased that Woodside has been rated as good by the CQC.

“It gives residents, the people who care for them and their families the reassurance that they are being looked after in a safe and caring environment, with excellent staff and managers running the service.

“It’s tough for people living with dementia and their families. Care homes like Woodside are vital as they ensure people get the support they need.”
