A barber’s salon in Padiham is proving to be a cut above after emerging with a new face after the Boxing Day floods.

Jack Jones Barbers has been completely refurbished since it was badly damaged as a result of the floods.

Owner Annette Shuttleworth said: “We were lucky than some businesses in that we didn’t have to close for a long period but we did have a lot of damage. We received a small grant from the Government but the rest of the refurbishment we have paid for ourselves.

“We have built an extension so we now have space to rent out part of the business.

“I’d like to thank my loyal customers. We’ve been working in dust and mess recently but it’s all worth it now.”
