We’d rather have a market than a Primark

Burnley has had a market since the 13th Century. For our council to let it go down the way it has is nothing short of shameful.

As for your comment of the week from Phil12 that the market should be re-located and the premises used for Primark, “which the town really wants” according to him or her; all I can say is the Express must have been short of comments last week.

Who wants a cheapskate store which uses Indian child labour to make its stock and is fast becoming a blot on the landscape of every high street in the land? Not me, for one. You ought to get yourself a history book Phil12, and while you are there, perhaps a copy for the council to read.
