Weather warnings are a form of torture
At 1-15 the other morning, I was woken by a telephone call which interrupted my sleep for over an hour.
At 7-45am I had another to say I had been rung by the Met Office voicemail earlier to say there would be strong winds that day, and then I had another call to say that at 4-12am I was rung (fortunately I didn’t hear it) to say there would be snow and ice!
Is this a new form of torture – and why have I been chosen for it? And how many others do they assume don’t watch TV or listen to the radio?
