Upstairs market at Burnley doomed
Regarding Burnley Council’s decision to hire consultants about the Market Hall’s woes: An upstairs market so far from the bus station was doomed from day one.
When the Thompson Centre was demolished both the Market Hall and open market could have been moved there.
The market could have been demolished to provide room for a much-needed bookies, charity shops, estate agents, pound shops and pay loan firms etc.
