Tragic story of brothers who served country
In the May 2nd edition of the Burnley Express you had an article on cleaning up a memorial at the site of a former Baptist church in Plover Street, Burnley.
I was interested because two of my relatives are mentioned on that memorial.
Their names are Ernest Seeney and William Seeney and they were my dad’s half brothers.

It was blown up by the enemy and it is believed William, like many others drowned. No body was found.
Ernest died from wounds sustained in action at Ypres.
A tragic story of two brothers serving their country.
