Time to honour ‘forgotten’ First World War heroes
There are hundreds of Burnley soldiers killed in action during the Great War who are not listed on local war memorials.
It is now 100 years since the start of the First World War and it is about time these heroes were acknowledged in their home town.
I am appealing to the wealthy businessmen/women in Burnley. Please can you gather together to raise funds for memorial walls to be built so these soldiers can finally have their names etched on a monument?
“We will remember them” but at the moment this is not the case in Burnley!
