Time to bring railway station into 21st Century
I’ve noticed that in the improvements to Manchester Road Railway Station, there is no provision for a ramp-gantry-ramp to link the two platforms.
Surely, with the facilities situated on the eastbound side, the westbound side should be linked within these improvements, without westbound passengers/commuters still having to use the Victorian provisions of the long descent/ascent from and to Manchester Road.
Come on Burnley, let’s bring Burnley’s only fully operational double line station into the 21st Century.
