Thanks to Twenty20 scanner appeal volunteers

Many thanks to those of you who responded to the email asking for volunteers to take part in the collection at the Twenty20 cricket match at Lowerhouse. I hope you didn’t mind too much giving up an hour or two of a sunny Friday evening.

The sunshine helped us with our collection as there was a super crowd who donated a total of £465.79.

The Prostate Cancer Support Group guys once again joined in and did a sterling (if quite scary) job of spreading the message of how important the scanner is in helping to save local lives by the early detection of prostate problems.

Prostate cancer currently affects one in eight men of any age – it is not just a disease that strikes older men.
