Thanks for caring Gud Luk Guy!

I recently met The Gud Luk Guy for the first time, who had asked people via social media to nominate Colne shop workers to be given a rose. The reason could be anything, as long as it was positive.

We spent quite a bit of time chatting and I was really saddened to hear he’d had such a negative response to, what I thought, was such a lovely gesture.

His ethos is “giving to the givers of Colne” and he wanted to give something to shop workers to show they were appreciated by their customers and fellow traders.

As a shop worker with very little previous experience, I was more than touched I had been nominated by customers and fellow traders and looking at the rose on my counter for the rest of the day made me feel I was doing something right.

So here is a public thank you to the lovely people who nominated me and to the Gud Luk Guy for orchestrating the whole thing!
