Snub to Arts festival shows lack of insight

I was saddened to read Pendle councillors have not got the insight to encourage our Luther Greenwood Festival – a Colne event for more than 60 years – and would rather let it vanish into obscurity.

At the festival awards are given for taking part in music drama and dance to encourage our young people and give them life skills.

I feel this decision fails the young. This festival gives each child a chance to shine in the Arts in an age when we are bombarded by technology.
