Sledgehammer to crack traffic congestion ‘nut’

The consultants’ traffic data clearly shows the bulk of the traffic has its destination in Colne and, therefore, has no use of a bypass.

Add this to the through traffic coming from or going to the Keighley area, and you are left with a minority of the traffic actually using the bypass.

Congestion on North Valley Road is, therfore, likely to largely remain.

The £34m. sledgehammer will not crack the nut, it might just dent it a little .
