Say no to factory farming of animals
I have been a vegetarian for almost 25 years and wholeheartedly support Ben’s views in terms of animal welfare.
The reason I became a vegetarian was my strong opposition to factory farming as the welfare of animals was nonexistent. However, although I do not personally eat any meat or fish, I do agree with the concept of eating animals that have been reared and slaughtered humanely (I know you vegans and many other vegetarians out there will disagree with me on this!).

I also have no problem getting my five-a-day fruit and veg and have been blessed with good health since going veggie.
If you couldn’t face going veggie at Christmas, please think about ordering free range, organic meat instead of the factory farmed meat as your New Year’s resolution; not only will the animals thank you for it, so will our local farmers and your tummies!
