Redirect foreign aid to help flood victims
Money is no object eh Dave? And we are a “very wealthy country”? Tell that to the people in Somerset who have faced weeks of flooding and whose livelihoods have been devastated.
Interesting that the Government has only pledged money and support after the flooding hit those living by the Thames. To steal a quote, it was only after the effluent hit the affluent.
If there is a bottomless pit of money let’s start spending it on other needs in this country and instead re-direct some of the enormous foreign aid budget to help the flood victims.
