£120 parking charges for bingo trip

Following a night out at Gala Bingo in Burnley on January 13th, when I parked on the car park (where Staples used to be and TK Maxx still is) as theirs was full at 7.24pm, I received a parking charge for £60.

Having spoken to UKPC, it would also appear I incurred another ticket the week after on Tuesday, January 21st, which I have not yet received. £120 in total is a disgraceful amount of money to expect anyone to pay for this type of supposed offence and I’m not a pensioner living on the breadline.

I immediately rang Gala Bingo and was told there had been a change of ownership of the car park last year and customers were discouraged from using this facility as the new owners were being very awkward.

A great deal of their customers had received more than one of these notices, some several in one week. The operation seems to be immoral.

This is obviously having an impact on their business and its customers.

Would the local MP wish to be involved in this as it is his community that is suffering?
