Poem: Christmas is nearly here

Once again Christmas is nearly here:

Now is the time for giving good cheer.

We now have presents to buy;

To get each present right we try.

Then we have the decorations to buy;

To decorate the house we give a try.

Then off to buy the Christmas food,

Then to cook and make it good.

On Christmas Day we eat till we are full,

We sing carols and crackers we pull.

After dinner watch TV or sleep;

We look at the washing up and weep.

Well that’s a Christmas nearly done;

We hope that we all had fun.

Now the Christmas is over we have a fear

That we will have it all to do again next year.
