‘Phantom’ reminded us how great Colne is

My wife and I went to see the musical show “The Phantom of the Opera” performed by the Pendle Hippodrome Youth Theatre.

The experience reminded us that Colne is a fantastic little place. The production and performance of all the players was simply superb, and the entire show had us spellbound from beginning to end.

The leading characters were breathtakingly good, the supporting cast wonderful and the orchestra exceedingly fine.

We know there were many others behind the scenes, such as joiners, lighting technicians etc., without whom the show would not have been so wonderful.

Needless to say the house was packed and at the end of the show the audience gave the players a rousing standing ovation, which was justly deserved in our view.
