May I, on behalf of the residents of Mary Brown Cottages and parishioners of St Ambrose Church, Grindleton, thank you and your paper for using your good offices to help ensure Electricity North West provided an alternative electricity supply during the necessary work being done at the high school on Advent Sunday.
This meant some of our more elderly residents did not have to suffer unduly during the cold conditions and also that the church was able to keep the festival of Advent, which marks the run-up to Christmas.
The conclusion of the matter was that everyone was happy, which would not have been possible without your contribution.
