LETTERS: Potholes caused by ice must be repaired quickly

In view of budget cuts I am very concerned that when the bad weather has passed the motorists in the area will still be left facing hazardous conditions.

After last winter’s snow and ice, potholes created serious problems and in some areas local authorities were not as speedy at fixing them as they should have been.

I know local authority funds have been badly hit but it is imperative the lives of local people are not endangered by large potholes and nor should their vehicles be at risk of damage.
