LETTER: Wool should knit clothes, not cover Clitheroe Castle
I AGREE with Beryl Taylor that it is a disgusting waste to cover the castle in a woolly coat.
One 100g ball of wool, costing £2 to £3 would knit a 1ft. or 30cm square. How many would be needed for a banner?
I buy a double knitting yarn to knit into cardigans for babies and young children in Southern Africa, I would be grateful for leftover wool for this project rather than see it hung over our ancient castle.
