LETTER: Wind farms produce little more than hot air

It may come as a surprise to some that the UK Independence Party is in favour of renewable forms of energy and recycling of waste.

What we are against is wasteful projects, such as wind farms, which are totally inefficient and force up the cost of electricity for hard-pressed families and businesses that bear the cost.

We are also opposed to the exploitation of the world’s citizens by self-serving organisations, governments and other agencies who, in the name of climate change, find it a useful method of extorting more money through higher bills and taxes.

There are many eminent scientists who are totally against the climate change fanatics but, of course, anyone who disagrees is savagely attacked and branded as lunatics.

Technology must move forward and better ways found of producing energy that is both efficient and affordable to all, not as a cash cow for governments and big business.

Wind farms produce little else than a lot of expensive hot air from those who support and benefit from them.
