LETTER: Why was Todmorden Loop rail link originally disconnected?
It is wonderful news for Burnley that the Todmorden Loop is to be re-opened to provide a direct rail link to Manchester for rail passengers.
What I am curious about is why a decision was made many years ago to disconnect the loop?
