WHAT a fantastic performance by “Burnley Express” Jimmy Anderson for England against India.
It does not get any better than taking five wickets in an innings against the best team in the world, at the home of cricket.
To have your name etched onto the Lord’s Honours Board is the ultimate for any player and to achieve it against the world champions in one of the greatest Test Matches for years was truly memorable. In a world full of bad news, sport is still capable of lifting the spirits of the public and this Test Match confirmed that.
Well done Jimmy– you have done the town proud!
