LETTER: We have been conned about loss of Burnley General Hospital services

I FEEL someone should speak up for the people and say what everyone is now thinking, with regards to the loss of the children’s ward and accident and emergency.

The feeling we have been conned is slowly but surely sinking in.

There was never any real chance of saving these services. The decisions were made years ago, behind closed doors.

All this talk about democracy and the people making the choices was nothing more than the silky smooth rhetoric of well-rehearsed politicians who, of course, have their own interests at heart.

People of Burnley wake up and use your commonsense.

Do not buy this guff that is being served up to you.
