LETTER: Vitriol over Baroness Thatcher’s death is appalling

Love her or hate her - and people did one or the other - Baroness Thatcher deserves her death to be marked with respect.

The outpouring of vile vitriol from the Left has been appalling.

And I am afraid it is a sad reflection of today’s society. Many of those involved in distasteful street parties were not even born when she became Prime Minister and know nothing of the country she inherited.

Everyone deserves respect in death and the scenes and social media comments are a disgrace.

She leaves behind family and friends and their feelings should be taken into consideration.

I don’t count myself as a fan of Tony Blair but I certainly would not think of dancing on his grave.

Some of us still know how to behave decently.
