LETTER: Still waiting for a reply from ‘lame duck’ MP
At the beginning of September, Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson invited people to email him with their views on the sentences being handed down to people who drove without insurance. I duly did and also asked what he and fellow MPs intended to do about the blatant extortion being used by insurance companies against young drivers, to such an extent they have now joined the banks and utility companies in the Premier League of ripping people off.
I received an email back - “prove you are a constituent before we deal with you”. This I did and now nearly five weeks later, not a word from the elected one. Could it be that because his seat is now at risk due to the boundary changes, he has now become a “lame duck” MP?
Either way Mr Stephenson, thank you for proving me right not to vote for you!
