LETTER: Solution to keep Colne recycling plant open
There is no doubt the closure of the recycling plant at Colne would be a great shame.
But maybe there is a way in which to keep it open.
On toll roads and car parks, there are automated barriers, so why not install one of these and charge £1 to gain access to the centre? The proceeds might subsidise or even pay the employees’ wages, thus vastly reducung the running costs.
